With all the communication tools that we have access to (video calls, instant chats, etc.), clients don’t really feel the need to bring the remote workers on-site. If this is a requirement, please let us know in advance so that we can select the right people that have availability for this.
Of course, provided the talent is fine with this. However, you should give us a heads-up ahead of the event and must take into consideration that all costs with transportation, accommodation, etc. will be covered by you. All necessary payments should be prepared ahead of the trip and we also require that the medical insurance is paid before the trip.
We start with sourcing candidates in our database which takes around 1-3 days. If the needed talent isn’t in our database, we will need another 3-5 days to source them and perform the high-level testing.
Yes, but this needs to be specified from the requirements gathering phase so that we’ll be able to source the talent that takes this possibility into consideration.
We sometimes ask our clients to make a deposit off $500 which will be considered as an advance to your first invoice, once we’ll have a successful onboarding. If we don’t find the right match to your needs, we’ll refund the deposit.
Both you and the talent will have 2 weeks to see if you are happy with the new arrangement. If both parties are happy, the contract will continue until you terminate it. If not, we can source another talent or close the collaboration. Please note the trial periods are paid, regardless of the outcome.
The client. Melistics’ only business is to connect world-class experts to the clients who want to work with them - not intellectual property. Our contracts specify the fact that all work done by our expert is the property of the client, not of Melistics.
Melistics create agreements with every member of the talent network, through which we obtain exclusive ownership of the work created by the Melistics talent. We then enter into an agreement with you and provide you with the intellectual property for the work that the talent creates for you under the client agreement. However, if you would like to enter into a direct agreement with the expert, and benefit from a direct transfer of intellectual property, we can work with you to find a solution.
Pricing can vary and is dependant on the mix of skill sets and years of experience. We will work with you to define the budget and expectations. Typically, engagement pricing falls into the following ranges:
We normally invoice our clients at the end of the month, but we can agree on other invoicing dates with you. Invoices have a 14 days payment term, which gives our clients time to review the charges prior to processing.
We currently accept all major credit cards, ACH, bank wires, and PayPal.
The big difference is reflected in the way client management is approached and how business models are handled. Our focus is on client relationships and white-glove handling service, while Upwork is more of a self-service, where you do all screening, recruiting, staffing, accounting, legal and compliance activities on your own. When we look for talent, we prioritize quality and proven expertise of talents. This approach guarantees that our network of talents contains experts only. Just for clarification, we do not say that Upwork does not provide high-level talents, just that we personally check every talent and rigorously screen them before inviting them to join our network.
